St Kitts and Nevis Coast Guard Unit hosts 12 days Sea Cadet Easter Camp
Sea Cadet Easter Camp is live in St Kitts and Nevis. It is being hosted by the St Kitts and Nevis Defence Force Coast Guard unit, which started yesterday at Coast Guard Base, Fort Smith and Bird Rock. It will last on April 19, 2024 (Friday).

St Kitts and Nevis: Sea Cadet Easter Camp is live in St Kitts and Nevis. It is being hosted by the St Kitts and Nevis Defence Force Coast Guard unit, which started yesterday at Coast Guard Base, Fort Smith and Bird Rock. It will last on April 19, 2024 (Friday).
This 12 days Easter Camp will come up with various learnings that will offer the learning of a plethora of life skills and techniques to the participants. These techniques include organizational skills, self discipline, drug and alcohol abuse, team building skills, map reading, First Aid and drills and seamanship.
Yesterday morning, the opening ceremony of the camp was held. The Commander of St Kitts and Nevis Defence Force, J. Anthony Comrie urged the young cadets to take advantage of the opportunities presented to them through this camp.
The teaching of the skills to be provided to the camp participants during the two weeks camp talks and suggests better times ahead. All the skills would spread peace and harmony in the country and promises of skill development that would bring up the best in the country.
The set timings for the camp is 8 am to 4 pm for each day and this includes several activities also that are:
- First Aid
- Sea Survival
- Seamanship
- Drills
- Swimming Evolution
- Maritime Communication
All such activities promise skill development. The Local population of the country is even extending appreciation towards the Government of the country for their every action towards fulfilling the commitment.
“Nice keep it up, never stop doing this. This is something positive for the youths of tomorrow. Good Job makes St Kitts and Nevis great again,” commented one of the citizens named, Carlton Ponteen.
Such appreciating words by the people of the country present the clear state of the development going in the country, even is being recognized. The authorities are doing great by keeping the populace of the country in consideration.
