Saint Lucia’s tourism authority participates in Martinique Boat Show

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Tourism Authority of Saint Lucia actively participated in the Martinique Boat Show, which was scheduled to take place from 30th May to 2nd June 2024. The main goal behind the participation of Saint Lucia was to stimulate maritime activity in the country, with the vision of increasing yachting arrivals to the island nation.

SLTA Deputy Director and Lead for Maritime Affairs, Grace Parkinson led the delegation which also included several other officers namely, Head of Marketing, Deter Percil, Director of Marketing for the French Region, Annie Lefroy and Marketing Officer, Denise Mauricette.

Saint Lucia partnered with Marigot Bay Yacht Haven, and the team engaged with destination partners, boat charter companies, and carnival bands to emphasize its prime marine zones, cultural offerings, and wonderful hospitality.

Notably, an agro-processing company from Saint Lucia, Rego’s Naturals also participated in the event. Every delegate, participated in the event, primary goal was to position the island as a premier destination for nautical tourism.

Such participation from the island nation exhibits that the tourism authority is making continuous efforts to enhance its tourism sector. The island nation has always remained committed to fostering the country’s economic conditions, and tourism, being the backbone of the country, plays a huge role in elevating the island nation to greater heights.

The Martinique Boat Show was organised in Fort-de-France and was considered to be a crucial meeting point for the nautical professionals of the Caribbean. They gathered for 4 days on the Port de Plaisance of the Etang Z’Abricots. The show welcomed exhibitors, renters, professionals in repair, maintenance and deconstruction of boats, equipment manufacturers, motorists, boat salesman, boat licenses, charter companies, services and institutional.

All the attendees participated in the Martinique Boat Show with great enthusiasm and displayed their attractive offerings of the country. Such shows also play a key role in enhancing relations between other nations and fostering crucial partnerships.
