Saint Lucia welcomes inaugural call of Ruby Express, bringing hundred of passengers
The Tourism Authority of Saint Lucia called the inaugural visit of Ruby Express “a game changing addition.”

Ruby Express marked its inaugural visit to Saint Lucia on 15th October, 2024 and brought hundreds of visitors to the island nation. This call marks a huge milestone for the tourism sector of the country towards enhancing connectivity across the Caribbean region.
It is the newest and latest member of the FRS-Express D’ Isle fleet. It holds a capacity of around 428 passengers, with additional space for the transfer of 50 cars, and up to 4 buses.
The vessel also features a business-class services, with spacious seating, amenities and refreshments, making the visit of all the passengers comfortable and memorable.
The tourism authority of Saint Lucia called the inaugural visit of Ruby Express “a game changing addition.” This vessel will connect Saint Lucia, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Dominica, with plans to expand across the Caribbean, enhancing connectivity and strengthening relations between islands.
As per the details, this existing fleets including, Corail Express (437 seats), Perle Express (360 seats), and Gold Express (446 seats), have the capacity to collaboratively accommodate a total of 1671 seats, making travel between the islands smoother, and convenient.
Moreover, Saint Lucia officially opened their cruise tourism season on 10th October, 2024. The tourism ministry is ensured that this cruise season 2024-25 promises not only growth in the arrival of the visitors but also enhancement in the engagement of the authorities with the stakeholders, leading to create huge economic benefit to the island nation.
The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority have also expressed their optimism of welcoming large number of visitors with a vision to showcase the stunning landscapes, rich culture and warm hospitality offered by the island nation.
The tourism authority stated that they are committed to offer plethora of experiences and showcase the magic of Saint Lucia to all the passengers. “From exploring lush rainforests, breathtaking beaches to enjoying Sulphur Springs, mud baths, ATV Experiences, ziplining and much more, the visitors will be offered an experience like no other.”
They noted that the cruise season 2024-25 will play a significant role in enhancing not only the tourism sector but others as well be it, accommodation, transportation or any other.
