Saint Lucia National Youth Council has extended best wishes towards the Saint Lucian athletes who are in the Bahamas to represent the country in the 50th edition of CARIFTA Games 2023.

Castries, Saint Lucia: Saint Lucia National Youth Council has extended best wishes towards the Saint Lucian athletes who are in the Bahamas to represent the country in the 50th edition of CARIFTA Games 2023.
The Council has taken social media accounts to extend wishes to the players and also invited the general public to join them in doing the same. The congratulatory post read, “Help us extend best wishes to team Saint Lucia as they prepare to take on Carifta 50!!”
Furthermore, it stated that the Games would begin on April 7, 2023, and the team will be in full action during the Easter weekend, which is considered to be all about blessings and greetings in the nation and worldwide.
“Carifta 2023 begins on April 7, and team Saint Lucia will be in action over the Easter weekend!” the social media post informed.
It is also anticipated that the tournament will turn out to be successful for Saint Lucian athletes who have been training days and nights to perform well in the competition. “Make us proud, guys!” National Youth Council of Saint Lucia noted while extending best wishes to all the representatives.
The CARIFTA Games 2023 are started in Nassau, the Bahamas, on April 7, Friday. As per various updates, Saint Lucian players have played well in the inaugural Swimming Championship but setting a new CARIFTA record in 13-14 100M LC Butterfly.
According to a social media post by St Lucia Aquatics Federation, Making Saint Lucia proud on St. Lucia’s Day 1 of competition at the 2023 Carifta Swimming Championships held at the Sentro Deportivo Korsou in Willemstaad, Cauracoa, Antoine Destang! He has set a new Carfita Record in the 13 – 14 100M LC Butterfly with a time of 56.52.
It further informed that on Day 1 of the SLU Competition, Antoine bagged a silver medal in the 50M LC Backstroke with a time of 28.03.
