Saint Lucia: The island country’s government has recently announced the retail prices of the fuel. The prices are changed according to the market pass-through petroleum pricing mechanism, and the retail prices of gasoline, Diesel and the LPG 100 LB cylinder have changed. The retail prices of kerosene and the LPG 20 and 22 LB cylinders remain unchanged. The price will take effect from Monday, September 26, 2022.
According to the latest release, gasoline’s price has increased from $3.95 to $3.89 per litre or $17.95 to $17.70 per gallon, whereas kerosene remains unchanged at $3.91 l or $17.77 per gallon. The cost of Diesel decreased from $3.95 to $3.89 per litre or $17.95 to $17.70 per gallon.
On the same breadth, the 20-pound cylinder (9.07 kg) remains unchanged at $45.27 per cylinder. The 22-pound cylinder (9.98 kg) remains unchanged at $49.79 per cylinder. The 100-pound cylinder (45.36 kg) increased from $303.53 to $318.64 per cylinder.
The 20 lb cylinder (9.07 kg) is being subsidized at $18.46 per cylinder, and the 22 lb cylinder (9.98 kg) is being subsidized at $20.31 per cylinder.
According to the government, the next adjustment to the retail price of fuel products will be on Monday, October 17, 2022.
Earlier, the government announced the fuel price adjustment, effective from September 12 to October 2, 2022. The retail prices of gasoline and Diesel were increased by $0.77 and $0.48 per imperial gallon, respectively.
However, the cost of the 20, 22, and 100-pound LPG cylinders is decreased by $0.43, $0.46, and $4.24 per cylinder, respectively. The retail price of kerosene remained unchanged at $6.39 per imperial gallon. The price of bulk LPG declined by $0.10 per pound.
The next price change is scheduled to take effect on Monday, October 3, as per the government.
