Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, said that he is ready to work with any American leader.
However, he is still not ready to recognize Joe Biden as the President of the United States.
Putin said on the Russian State Television that the Russian Government would work with any leader who would have the confidence of the American public.
He added that to give confidence to a candidate, if his victory is recognized by the opposing party, or confirmed legitimately and legally after the results.
It is noteworthy that the US intelligence agencies accused Russia of intervening in the 2016 elections and helping in getting Trump elected.
It is being said that Russia is wary of Biden as it fears an increase in clashes over human rights and sanctions pressure.
Putin described that Kremlin’s decision of not congratulating Biden on his victory was a mere formality and had no ulterior motives.
