Premier Mark Brantley’s visit to Bermuda remained productive and engaging as he exchanged significant dialogues with a vision to strengthen relations between both the nations. This visit aims to open doors to several opportunities for the citizens of both the countries in diverse sectors including sports, culture and many more.
Meeting with the Premier of Bermuda
On his visit to Bermuda, Premier Mark Brantley was welcomed by the Premier of Bermuda, E. David Burt on Friday, October 25 in Hamilton, Bermuda. This meeting between the Premiers turned out to be beneficial for the nations as they discussed on several measures that could be implemented to enhance their ties.
Both Premier Brantley and Premier Burt held discussions on several matters including, sports, cultural exchanges, financial services, aiming to foster and enhance connections and relations. This exchange of dialogues between both the delegates shed light on their commitment towards enhancing regional cooperation and creating mindful opportunities for citizens of both territories.
While sharing the glimpses of his visit to Bermuda, the Premier Mark Brantley expressed happiness about his meeting with the Premier of Bermuda, E David Burt.
Premier Brantley shed light on endless opportunities in various fields including sports, culture, financial services, tourism, real estate development and investment. He emphasised on the benefits that can be availed from these opportunities, paving the way for the citizens of both the territories.
In their meeting, the Premier Mark Brantley was accompanied by his wife, Sharon Brantley; St. Kitts and Nevis Honorary Consul to Bermuda, Louise Tannock; as well as a retired Bermudian parliamentarian of St Kitts and Nevis heritage, Walter Lister.
On the other hand, the Deputy Premier, Walter Roban and Kristin, the wife of Premier Burt accompanied him to his meeting with Premier Brantley.
Premier Brantley extended gratitude to Premier Burt for his exceptional hospitality and stated that they are committed to such meetings in near future as well, aiming to deepen their relations.
Interaction with Bermudians
Not only this, Premier Mark Brantley also interacted with the Bermudians of St Kitts Nevis ancestry. Over 40% of Bermudians traced their roots to St Kitts and Nevis. As per the details, this meeting was conducted in the last weekend at a town hall style meeting, with over 200 people showing up and filling the hall to capacity.
Premier Mark Brantley also held engaging discussions with the ancestors and stated that it is the time for the citizens to come home. He also thanked Louise Tannock for the arrangements and giving him the feeling of being at home.
