PM Terrance Drew inaugurates facilities of St Kitts Credit Union
The Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew inaugurated the new and upgraded facilities of the St Kitts Credit Union (SKCU) on December 8, 2023.

St Kitts and Nevis: The Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew inaugurated the new and upgraded facilities of the St Kitts Credit Union (SKCU) on December 8, 2023.
The development taken forward at the bank is the part of commitment to enhance the services offered to the valued members.
PM Drew added that there has been the greatest role of credit unions in reshaping the social fabric of the nation. The financial institution has provided access to banking services to a number of citizens for smoother banking.
Further, he casted light on the positive impact that credit union facilities have laid on the lives of people and their families by adding, “The positive impact of credit union facilities on the lives of individuals and families is immeasurable.”
Also, more than 20,000 members have been added to the St Kitts Credit Union, it has achieved remarkable growth through dedicated services rather than extensive marketing efforts.
While sharing his remarks at the ceremony, PM highlighted that creating money is critically important to lift the natives out of poverty. And, financial institutions help in giving the opportunity to generate wealth.
This states the need for sound and solid financial institutions to fulfill the needs of people so the flow can move from generation to generation leading towards the growth and development of the country.
Additionally, PM Drew said that this would lead towards wealth generation and would help build business-oriented skills in the citizens.
“It seems like a commercial bank, but it is a credit union,” said the Prime Minister.
Probing ahead, the Prime Minister shared some glimpses of the inauguration ceremony on social media, where he was seen addressing and interacting with other members at the ceremony.
Interestingly, a picture shared while cutting the ribbon evidently reflected the pleasure of the Prime Minister on the remarkable achievement of the St Kitts Credit Union.
The public congratulated the Prime Minister for this and presented their valuable remarks under the shared posts.
