Over 1600 people to attend 43rd Caribbean Tourism Marketplace in Antigua and Barbuda

Over 1600 people are expected to attend the 43rd Caribbean Tourism Marketplace which has been scheduled to take place in Antigua and Barbuda from May 18 to 22, 2025 at the American University of Antigua conference facility.

The Caribbean’s largest travel conference will bring together buyers, suppliers and travel industry stakeholders from all over the world, elevating the profile of Antigua and Barbuda to greater heights.

The announcement of hosting the 43rd Caribbean Tourism Marketplace in Antigua and Barbuda was made at a joint press conference between the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transport, and Investment; the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority and; the Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association.

While shedding light on the event, the Tourism Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Charles Fernandez stated that this marketplace will play a pivotal role in providing a major boost to the economy of the country.

He added that the 43rd Caribbean Tourism Marketplace is the region’s premier tourism marketing event which has been connecting Caribbean suppliers and global buyers. He further mentioned that the hosting of the Caribbean Tourism Marketplace in Antigua and Barbuda will play a huge role in growing the influence of Antigua and Barbuda in Caribbean hospitality and tourism.

The tourism minister stated this event would be an excellent opportunity to showcase the unique charm, culture, and hospitality of Antigua and Barbuda that make their island nation special and different from others.

The tourism minister further added that this event would place them at the center of regional attention, result in bringing significant economic benefits.

Moreover, the President of Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association, Madden-Greig stated that this marketplace hosting in Antigua and Barbuda will create a huge opportunity for all the stakeholders. She added that all the attendees will get a platform to explore the diverse offerings of travel products and experiences throughout the region.

Also, the Caribbean Tourism Marketplace 2025 will feature several new programmes. The programmes that will be conducted include:

18th May: A Responsible Tourism Day

 19th May: Annual Caribbean Travel Forum

 22nd May: A Direct Booking Summit

The authorities noted that attendees can explore unique Caribbean products, showcasing diverse offerings to global buyers and immersing them in the beauty and excitement of Antigua and Barbuda.
