NOAA and US Air Force to held Caribbean Hurricane Awareness tour, NHC shares report

NHC has shared a geo-colour satellite image, which shows that the Caribbean region for next few hours as 2024 hurricane season approaching. The Us Air Force Reserve and NOAA extended their support for the Caribbean communities.

National Hurricane Centre (NHC) embark on preparedness mission to the Caribbean.

National Hurricane Centre (NHC) has shared a geo-colour satellite image, which shows that the Caribbean region for next few hours as 2024 hurricane season approaching. The United States Air Force Reserve and NOAA extended their support for the Caribbean communities.

According to the information, NOAA and US Air Force are set to host a series of events and the representatives will visit various vulnerable communities to discuss the measures against hurricane season.

The Air Force Reserve Command’s WC-130J “Hurricane Hunter” aircraft will conduct tours and displayed that how data is being collected by the scientists about hurricanes.

It is to be noted that the Atlantic basin hurricane season begins from June 1 and will conclude on November 30. The collected data are sent in real-time through satellite from the aircraft and the it directly sent to the NHC for analysis. After analysis, the data is used by the hurricane forecast.

    Grantley Adams International Airport, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • April 19- Saint Lucia
    Hewanorra International Airport, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • April 20- Aguadilla, Puerto Rico
    Rafael Hernandez Airport, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm

Additionally, the Met Services shared that the people of the Caribbean regions may experience mostly hot, sunny and breezy weather. There is low probability of the brief isolated showers.

Moreover, 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season officially announced the names such as, Beryl, Alberto, Ernesto, Francine, Gordon, Issac, Joyce, Debby, Chris, Oscar, Tony, Valerie and William.

As per CSU (Colorado State University) issued a warning for 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season. They said that this year hurricanes will be “extremely active.” They named that there is an expectation of 23 storms, out of which 11 are expected to mature into Hurricanes.
