Youth at Risk is helping St Lucians by donating food care packages 

St Lucia: Coronavirus pandemic tarnished St Lucia economically and socially. To rectify the nation’s conditions, Non-governmental organizations are voluntarily coming forward to support the marginalized people.

Under the supervision of Ms. Tiffeny Jones, Youth at Risk Organisation is distributing free food care packages to the people of St Lucia.

According to WIC News, the Youth at Risk Organisation members are endeavoring to facilitate the beneficiaries mainly with food items. They are giving food cane and other essential food items.

An organization’s beneficiaries are chosen mainly by team members who know of a person in need and when they go into the community, and persons are sometimes pointed out to them.

Ms. Tiffeny Jones’s main objective is to help people in need, mainly the elderly, single-parent households, and households with no income. This NGO doesn’t have a duration time; as long as they’re receiving funds, they will continue with the respective care package program.

In the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, people need these kinds of organizations who lend their hands and have the potential to go the extra mile to help others.

These kind gestures fuels humanity in the world of selfish beings. Sometimes the government cannot serve their citizens or especially marginalized people, then these kinds of organizations make a way to make their lives easier.

Currently, the situation in St Lucia is not appropriate. The nation is in crisis, and people need assistance to fight this battle. There is a COVID-19 vaccine, but other basic amenities are missing. Not only NGOs but the government is also doing its best to serve its citizens.
