Visit Guyana shares glimpse of Karanambu lodge, located in North Rupununi

Georgetown, Guyana: The Visit Guyana, the official platform informing about visit, dine & stay, when visiting Guyana, has shared a details about Karanambu. While sharing an update, it mentioned, “Have you ever visited Karanambu? Located in the North Rupununi, Karanambu lodge has its roots in ranching and has evolved into an eco-paradise for tourism and conservation.”

It further asserted that “We were picked up at Genip landing by boat and headed up the Rupununi River for a scenic river ride on the way to the lodge. We enjoyed their signature rum punch and cookies while spotting birds and monkeys and sunbathing caiman.”

According to the post by the travel destination, the lodge itself is beyond charming; upon arrival, an individual feels like you are in a whole new country. The self-contained cabins all have lovely views and allow plenty of fresh cool breeze in. In fact, sometimes the breeze is so loud you would think it’s raining.

But this is a place that comprises sprawling Savannahs, mountains, crystal clear lakes, and over a dozen ponds which boast our majestic National flower, the Victoria Amazonica. In fact, Karanambu is well known for its work in conservation which started under the famous Dian Mcturk, who pioneered Giant otter conservation,” the post further read.

It questioned that so what’s there to do? While answering it mentioned, “Plenty! Bird watching, fishing, swimming, and nature walks, snorkelling, boat tours, enjoying great food, learning about indigenous culture and most special of all? Watching the Giant water lily bloom at dusk. It is an unforgettable experience, being there on the pond watching the lilies open just as the sunset kisses the water. Beautiful!”
