The Minister of Agriculture, Kazim Hosein, has defined the future vision for sustainable agriculture in Trinidad and Tobago for 2024.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: The Minister of Agriculture, Kazim Hosein, has defined the future vision for sustainable agriculture in Trinidad and Tobago for 2024.
Minister Hosein showed his and his Ministry’s commitment to safeguarding and fortifying the nation’s food systems.
He stated that his Ministry is looking forward to fertilizing a sustainable environment that will contribute to the nourishment of the citizens and the conservation of biodiversity.
“Our mission extends beyond mere sustenance; we aim to foster the development of holistic food and non-food systems that stand as pillars of sustainability”, the agricultural minister said.
With all the innovative and creative strategies and collaboration, the Ministry is devoted to the welfare of its citizens.
“Through rigorous research, innovative strategies and collaboration with stakeholders, we pursue a path that ensures the long-term well-being of our citizens”, Minister Hosein added.
It is to be added in Hosein’s remarks that, to date, the Ministry has achieved an outstanding result in modernizing these objectives.
Notably, every step of their existing partnership and the implementation of vigorous policies and reforms has brought them closer to realizing their shared vision. Some of their achievements are as follows,
– Distribution of land leases, grants and incentives
– Provide training to the local farmers
– Upgrading infrastructure
– Introducing interventions to deal with existing and emerging threats
– Bolstering the food supply through collaborative partnerships
Noting this, Minister Hosein commented that as 2024 approaches, the Ministry will continue to establish ahead and invite Trinidad and Tobago on the journey towards the future.
Moreover, as per his vision, the future is one where food security is an unshakeable reality.
“As we move forward into 2024 and beyond, the Ministry will continue forging ahead with unyielding determination. We invite you to join us on this transformative journey towards a future where food security is not just a goal but an unshakeable reality”, the minister of agriculture added.
Additionally, he urged people to join him on this journey as they work towards a resilient and prosperous agricultural sector that feeds the nation. “Together, we can make a difference”, he said.
