Florida: In a shocking turn of events, a 48-year-old, Stephen G Austin, BMW sales and leasing consultant, was shot during a domestic dispute in Coral Springs, Florida, last week.
The reports reveal that Stephen G Austin also known as ‘Neil’, was originally from Kingston, Jamaica.
According to the reports, the dispute took place on Friday when the family was at their residence in a Windsor Coral Springs apartment complex. The incident began with a minor quarrel between Austin’s wife and his daughter. As the argument turned into an aggressive altercation, Austin intervened with an intention to calm down the situation.
After Austin, his stepson whose identity has not been revealed yet also got involved into the ongoing clash. After the involvement of four family members the situation blew up, which, led into the confrontation between the now-deceased and his stepson.
It is claimed that Stephen G Austin was shot by his stepson, but the authorities of Florida Police have not confirmed this.
After being shot, he was rushed to the hospital for the treatment, but upon reaching there the medical staff declared him brought dead.
The officials of Florida police have shared that the stepson, is cooperating for the investigation. The team is digging deep into finding out the suspect behind the shooting incident. As of now, no arrest has been made related to this case.
Remembering Austin, his friends shared that he was a very helping and caring individual. He was full of life and missed his country Jamaica. Austin used to visit his hometown every two years.
Austin’s family friend revealed that he was working with Stewart’s Automotive Group, that is a family-owned Jamaican car dealership, servicing, and auto parts business. And he migrated to the US almost 10 years ago.
They even shared that Austin has been alumni of Jamaica College and have been extremely attached with his school he has studied. The police officials are investigating into the matter.
