Texas, United States of America: Universal Aviation, the worldwide FBO and ground support division of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc., has expanded its presence in the Caribbean with a new joint venture agreement with M Jet in Barbados at Grantley Adams International Airport (TBPB).
“M Jet in Barbados has been our go-to ground handling partner since the day we met the team and visited their state-of-the-art facilities. They’re amazing at what they do; their attention to detail, industry knowledge and unwavering commitment to delivering a first-class experience make them a formidable business partner,” said Greg Evans, Chairman of Universal®. “We’re thrilled to take our relationship to the next level!”
“We’re excited to be part of the internationally recognized Universal brand, and all that comes with that. We are delighted to be working with a brand that has such a pedigree within the aviation sector and which matches our commitment to excellence, which the MJet brand has become synonymous with. In Universal®, we have found a worthy partner to take the business to a step ahead,” said Mark Maloney, Executive Chairman, M Jet.
“Barbados continues to grow in popularity as a leisure destination for business aviation operators,” said Evans. “The location of this facility on the airport is the most private and exclusive in the country with many advantages and customer benefits, making it a very strategic addition to our network.”
Universal Aviation Barbados is located away from the main thoroughfare, providing maximum security and privacy while at the same time being the only 24/7 FBO on the Island. It is also Barbados’ only FBO with private hangars (two), a private apron, a gated facility for additional security and discretion, and a pet quarantine facility onsite (separate from commercial travellers), so owners are not separated from their loved ones.
“This facility offers unmatched tranquillity, discretion, and speed,” commented Sarah Evans, Executive Apprentice at Universal. “Our adept team is equipped to expedite passengers as well as crew in and out of the airport, usually in just 10 minutes. This guarantees a smooth, efficient, and time-saving experience. Collaborating with the stellar crew at M Jet in launching the joint venture has been an extraordinary journey, and we eagerly anticipate a promising and fruitful partnership as we jointly carve out the future of business aviation services in the beautiful Island of Barbados!”
With the addition of Barbados, Universal Aviation now has a total of 36 ground-handling locations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
