United Airlines to offer direct services from New Jersey to Dominica from Feb 2025
United Airlines will offer direct flights from Newark to Dominica starting February 15, 2025, boosting tourism and connectivity for travelers.

United Airlines is all set to offer direct flight services from Newark, New Jersey to Dominica, effective from 15th February, 2025. The tourism minister called it a historic milestone for the development of the tourism industry in the island nation, aiming to fulfill their agenda of welcoming 500,000 visitors by 2030.
While announcing the expansion of the flight services to Dominica, the tourism minister, Denise Charles Pemberton stated that it is truly a proud day for all the citizens of the country.
She asserted that the direct flight services from New Jersey to the Douglas-Charles Airport of Dominica would play a huge role in attracting a large number of tourists to the country, making significant steps towards their goal of 500,000 visitors by 2030.
The tourism minister noted that they are committed to their goals and for the same, they have been conducting detailed planning, crucial investments and several conversations with the stakeholders. Minister Charles asserted that they are coming up with some innovative ideas and strategies to make Dominica, a premier destination for all travellers.
She further mentioned about stimulating relations with international airlines including American Airlines and United Airlines. The tourism minister Pemberton noted that this enhancement in relation between Dominica and the international carriers signals to the enhanced global collaboration amidst the talks of the completion of the new international airport.
Minister Denise Charles stated that they are aiming to focus more on direct connections with the global community and in much more comfortable space before the completion of the new international airport.
Moreover, the Minister added that the announcement of the direct flight services to the Nature Isle is aimed at putting a full stop to all those inconveniences faced by the Dominicans and the visitors while travelling abroad.
Minister Denise Charles stressed that these new direct flights would not only enhance convenience for tourists but would also make their lives easier by helping the man who needs to travel for business, education, or to visit family.
She mentioned that these services are a part of their broader vision of always prioritizing the needs and demands of all the citizens of Dominica. And, for the same, the tourism ministry and the Government of Dominica is working together to elevate the progress of the nation.
“This is what good governance and sound policy look like in action,” noted Minister Charles Pemberton.
The Minister also highlighted about the upgradation of the Douglas Charles Airport and stated that the work is progressing towards improving runway and laid the groundwork for future growth.
She added that the services offered by United Airlines to Dominica is also a proof that the investments are paying off and the authorities are leading towards building a future that truly benefits all the citizens of Dominica.
“We will continue to work hard to open doors to several opportunities for the people, connecting families and making Dominica more accessible to world,” noted Denise Charles Pemberton.
