UN Women Executive Director appreciates PM Mottley

Barbados: Phumzile Mlambo appreciated the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley.

Phumzile Mlambo is Executive Director of UN Women, ONU Femmes, and ONU Mujeres and a champion for women & girls worldwide. She is a South African-politician and United Nations official.

Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Mottley is one of the prominent leaders in the Caribbean. Under her leadership, Barbados became the first Caribbean country to receive the vaccine from India due to bilateral relationships.

Moreover, She is the eighth Prime Minister of the nation and the first-ever female PM of Barbados. She always chooses to speak her mind fearlessly.

Back then, in 2019, PM Mottley challenged the world to reinvent the international order and do rightly by small island nations that are on the frontlines of the climate-crisis, fighting for their survival in the war they did not start.

Ms. Mottley defended small islanders’ rights-bearing the brunt of the climate emergency, saying she was committed to empowering them, giving them an opportunity, a voice, and a presence, even when others cannot or refuse to see them.
