‘UAE will be a great trade partner for Dominica’, says Foreign Affairs Minister
The Minister for foreign affairs, international business and diaspora relations – Kenneth Darroux, has stated that UAE will prove to be a great trade partner for Dominica in the upcoming time.

Roseau, Dominica: The Minister for foreign affairs, international business and diaspora relations – Kenneth Darroux, has stated that UAE will prove to be a great trade partner for Dominica in the upcoming time.
The remarks were made by the Foreign Affairs Minister during his recent interview.
Celebrating the Commonwealth of Dominica’s National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai on October 16, Darroux and his delegation toured the pavilion that provided a glimpse of the development plans of the Caribbean island, including sustainable tourism.
Dominica, through its pavilion at the Expo 2020, promotes itself as a paradise and a nation that opens to investments from all over the world.
Apart from this, he also expressed gratitude and thanked UAE for its support in hosting Dominica’s pavilion at Expo 2020.
Darroux also mentioned that the pavilion also received a great response from the people who visited it.
“We have full diplomatic relations with the UAE, having set up an embassy in Abu Dhabi. We admire the achievements of the UAE in the past 50 years, and we believe we have many things to learn from them,” the foreign affairs minister further added.
He also outlined the tourism potential of Dominica and stated that the island nation is ‘purely an adventure spot’, with 355 rivers, numerous waterfalls, pristine forests and wildlife and nature trails.
Following the statement, he added that “We are committed to sustainable tourism, and very soon, the Commonwealth of Dominica will have an eco-resort powered by solar and green energy.”
Besides this, the foreign affairs minister talked about the various upcoming and ongoing projects of Dominica. He also shedded light on the construction process of the International Airport.
In addition, the Caribbean island took part in the “Colours of the World” Parade on Saturday at the – Dubai Expo 2020.
Dominica pavilion members performed the beautiful culture of their country and waved their nations’ flag high at the parade.
