Two men apprehended and booked on multiple charges in Trinidad and Tobago

Police officials apprehended two men in Central, South Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday, 18th November 2023.
The two men got arrested for the possession of:
- Two firearms
- Ammunition
- Narcotics
Not only this, the police officials also received many stolen cell phones during the exercise of crime suppression conducted on Saturday 18th November.
The two men apprehended were aged 24 year and 26-year-old. They were both charged for the possession of 66 grammes of cannabis.
While conducting the crime suppression exercise, the police officials headed towards a bushy area in the surroundings of the Tarouba Recreation Grounds, Marabella.
On searching the area, the authorities discovered a Tangfolio Pistol with two rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition 30 feet away from the roadway.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing and the officers who are looking into the matter are PCs Loutan and De Boulet.
Moreover, the officials of Port of Spain Division of Trinidad and Tobago conducted an intelligence led operation between 2:00 and 5:00 pm on Friday 17th November 2023.
It is being said that this operation has a connection with the man who is suspected to be involved in a Robbery with Violence case which was occurred on 24th October 2023 at the Southern Division.
While the crime suppression exercise was going on, the police officials took up a strategic position to find the suspect in Downtown, Port of Spain but the suspect didn’t arrive.
The authorities further conducted their investigations at the store and they recovered three iPhones 8’s.
The police officials seized the three firearms within the period of 24 hours.
The things seized by the police officials:
- A homemade shotgun with two rounds of 12-gauge ammunition
- A Glock pistols
- 15 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition in Maloney Gardens and Freeport.
In fact, on 18th November, police officers reacted to the news, they received about the usage of drugs between 6 pm and 12 midnight.
