TTMA takes their 1st dosage from 10,000 Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine

The 10,000 first doses of vaccines have been administered to the business community in Trinidad and Tobago, under which the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association have also completed 2 phases of the vaccination drive.

The president of Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association, Tricia Coosal, in a media release, said that the TTMA has been constant in supporting the government’s partnership with TTMA and the private sectors as well in providing them with vaccinations. 

Tricia Coosal, president of Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association, said that they were glad that TTMA had been a solid contributor to the government’s vaccination they continue to operate the programme. TTMA felt that they were well on their way to a safe reopening of the business sector. They thank the Ministry of Health public-private of Trade and Industry for the confidence and trust that they placed in Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association to execute large vaccination sites. This public private partnership has worked seamlessly for the vaccination of the business community.

Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association were administered with 10,000 first doses of the Sinopharm vaccines. Same also doe with the private sectors of the area. Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association president also said that they would soon begin with the execution phase one of the second doses as soon as possible.

Tricia Coosal, President Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association’s commitment has been made to the administration of both first and second doses. The plan has to commence second dose administration to phase one of 5,000 vaccinated recipients by next week.

Volunteer assistance from TT Medical Association and SEWA TT International, and the National Council for Indian Culture was appreciated. Newsday was told the TTMA has to confirm the logistics and their workers that would be voluntarily serving during the drive.

The government of Trinidad and Tobago supposed to reopen its border for travellers from July 17 but also warned that the non-vaccinated people would not be allowed to enter the country.
