Trinidad and Tobago: Ten individuals lost their lives to COVID in a single day

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 152 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 12 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.
With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections increase to 4,230. In contrast, a total of 47,203 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 mutant.
In total, around 261 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of 10 new deaths have been recorded, taking the total death rate to 1,566 on the Caribbean island as of 12 October 2021.
As per the Health Ministry’s report, there are a total of 47 patients in the step-down facilities, about 61 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities.
A total of 3770 individuals have isolated themselves at their homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.
According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 52,999 confirmed cases of the virus.
If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 370,420 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a total of 152,796 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
As of 12 October 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 600,766 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 552,982 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
