Trinidad and Tobago records 331 new COVID-19 cases

The island of Trinidad and Tobago has recorded 331 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 23 September 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry. With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections increase to 4,209.

Trinidad and Tobago: The island of Trinidad and Tobago has recorded 331 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 23 September 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry. With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections increase to 4,209.

In contrast, a total of 43,796 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 mutant.

In total, around 288 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of 5 new deaths have been recorded, taking the total death rate to 1,437 on the Caribbean island as of 23 September 2021.

As per the Health Ministry’s report, there are a total of 67 patients in the step-down facilities, about 117 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities.

A total of 3,523 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.

So far, as of 23 September 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 564,315 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 473,097 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.

According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 49,442 confirmed cases of the virus.

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 342,465 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a total of 148,270 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
