“We recognize that today’s gesture by the Taiwanese Government is not only of value to this country but greatly complements the Government’s current efforts and is very timely. Today’s donation will enable both the Ministry and Health to respond to the needs of persons living with disability in a much more sustainable manner,”
Taiwan’s Ambassador to Saint Lucia, Peter Chen, stressed the significance of the donation, noting that it symbolizes Taiwan’s continued commitment to the collaboration and partnership between the two governments and their people.
“On behalf of the Government of Taiwan, I am extremely happy to hand over 465 mobility assistant devices, including wheelchairs, steel folding commode chairs and single arm walkers. This donation not only demonstrates the continued support of the Taiwanese Government, but it is also conveying love and care from the people of Taiwan,” Chen stated.
Minister for Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs Moses Jn Baptiste thanked and thanked the Government of Saint Lucia for the kind and significant gesture.
“I am happy to be here this morning to represent the Ministry of Health Wellness and Elderly Affairs and the Government of Saint Lucia to thank the people of Taiwan and Ambassador Peter Chen and his whole team for working with us.
