World: West Indies made a terrific win over Bangladesh in the T20 World cup. West Indies managed to register a three-run win over Bangladesh.
The toss was won by the Bangladesh team who decided to bowl first.
Bangladesh required 13 runs to win off the last over; Andre Russell bowled a superb final over, giving away ten and helping WI win a last-ball thriller in Sharjah.
Mahmudullah and Liton Das were associated in an excellent partnership as Bangladesh needed 30 off the last three overs.
Russell & Jason Holder gained West Indies their first 2 wickets as Bangladesh lost openers Shakib Al Hasan and Mohammad Naim.
During their first innings, a cameo from Jason Holder and a fine knock from Nicholas Pooran drove West Indies to the final score of – 142/7.
Troubles arose for West Indies as – captain Kieron Pollard had to retire hurt, while Andre Russell was run out at the – non-striker’s end without facing a ball, but from there, Roston Chase & Pooran stitched a tremendous and quick fifty-plus partnership to put the innings back on track.
Beforehand, Mahedi Hasan got Shimron Hetmyer out caught at long-off, which was after Mustafizur Rahman dismissed – Evin Lewis in the third over to get his team an early breakthrough, & Hasan clean bowled Chris Gayle to remove both openers.
