St Vincent and the Grenadines welcomes inaugural JetBlue flight with Olympians on board
St Vincent and the Grenadines Olympians Shafiqua Maloney and Handal Roban join the inaugural flight, celebrating a significant milestone for the nation.

St Vincent and the Grenadines welcomed the inaugural JetBlue flight at the Argyle International Airport. Several passengers including, the Olympians Shafiqua Maloney and Handal Roban boarded this flight, making the inaugural visit of the US based airline memorable and exciting event for the entire nation.
The passengers on the inugural JetBlue flight were treated to prizes for their trip to St Vincent and the Grenadines. As, they were given a gift voucher for round trip JetBlue flights, dinners at local restaurants, four nights stay at Sandals Resorts, tours to waterfalls, island wide tours and Grenadines tours.
As per the details, the airline will offer non-stop flight services from JFK International Airport in New York to the Argyle International Airport in St. Vincent. These services will be operated two days in a week, including Wednesdays and Sundays.
The welcoming ceremony of the flight was attended by several delegates including, Minister of Tourism, Carlos James who called the arrival of the US based airline, a significant moment for the development of the tourism industry of the island nation.
He stated that they are making strategic efforts with a vision to enhance their market and with the emergence of JetBlue, they hoping to witness significant drive in the tourism sector. He further noted that they seeing several airlines who are doubling their flight services and recuing their rates, which is truly a good competition for the business.
The tourism minister further continued to say that these services will play a huge role in allowing the customers, the passengers and the visitors an accessible and affordable options to explore St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Moreover, the Vice President of Network Planning and Airline Partnerships at JetBlue, David Jehn also expressed excitement on bringing inaugural flight to the island nation. He stated that they are thrilled to celebrate JetBlue’s inaugural flight from St. Vincent and the Grenadines to JFK.
He further mentioned that they are one of the largest carriers in the northeast and have an incredible customer base. He stated that they always wanted to open more options for the customers with a vision to provide them seamless and ease travel options.
The Vice President stated that they want to fly where their customer wants and that’s why they are here in the island nation of St Vincent and the Grenadines. While appreciating the beauty of the country, he referred the nation as “the quintessential Caribbean Paradise.”He added that this place is known for their warm, landscapes, black sand beaches, white sailing and many more.
Also, the excitement of all the passengers boarding the flight was really high, as a video is getting viral on social media where people are carrying the flags and enjoying the inaugural flight of JetBlue to St Vincent and the Grenadines.
