St Kitts & Nevis reports 7 recoveries and 0 cases

St Kitts and Nevis: The twin-island Federation reports 0 cases on the second consecutive day, as of February 21, in the last 24 hours. As per the COVID-19 situation report of the Health Ministry, the toll of the confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus stood at zero on Monday.
However, in the Federation, a total of 42 people have succumbed to the viral infection on February 21, 2022. As per the reports, out of the total fatalities, 35 deaths were reported from St Kitts, while the remaining seven have been recorded from Nevis.
As of now, the number of the active cases of the novel coronavirus in the twin-island Federation has reached 25, out of which twenty-one active cases are present in St Kitts, while the remaining four are in Nevis.
The pandemic emerged in St Kitts and Nevis on March 2021, and a total of 5,523 people have been exposed to the viral infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 since then. Out of the total confirmed cases of the mutant, a total of 4,688 cases have been reported from St Kitts, and the reaming 835 were reported from Nevis.
As per the health ministry, as many as 5,456 people have been recovered from the viral infection of the novel coronavirus so far; out of them, St Kitts health facilities have healed a total of 4,632 patients, while from Nevis, 824 people have been cured of the viral infection.
However, on Monday, February 21, 2022, there were seven new recoveries have reported from the twin Island Federation.
As per the status of the vaccination, till February 21, 2022, around 82.5 percent of the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis are partially vaccinated, while 77.1 percent are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 infection. A total of 9.1 percent of the total eligible population received their booster shots.
