St Kitts and Nevis Volleyball duo qualifies for Junior Pan American Games 2025

It is a huge milestone for St Kitts and Nevis as their volleyball pair, Clerique Ward and Julian Bristol, qualified for the Junior Pan American Games 2025 for the first time.

They qualified for the Pan American Games during the North America, Central America, and Caribbean (NORCECA) Volleyball Confederation U23 Tour which took place in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Junior Pan American Games is the only continental competition in the world for Under-23 athletes. It has been scheduled to take place in Asuncion, Paraguay from 11th to 20th July, 2025. These games will feature around 3800 athletes’ participating across 31 sports and 50 disciplines such as swimming, sailing, judo, athletics and many more.

This upcoming Junior Pan American Games is a great opportunity for both Ward and Pristol to represent their nation on an international stage, elevating the volleyball sector of St Kitts and Nevis to greater heights.

Their participation in the Junior Pan American Games is also a huge source of inspiration for several young athletes across the region who aspire to represent their country on a global platform.

Both Ward and Bristol have displayed their exceptional performances and skills throughout the NORCECA. And, keeping that spirit high, they have ensured to showcase the excellence and diverse techniques of St Kitts and Nevis in Pan American games as well.

The duo began their tournament with a straight-sets victory against Bermuda. After that, they faced defeats against the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Guatemala but still managed to showcase their resilient performances throughout the tournament.

Their total points were enough for both Clerique Ward and Julian Bristol to qualify for the Junior Pan American Games 2025.

Moreover, this duo represented St Kitts and Nevis at the FIVB U21 Beach Volleyball Championships in Thailand last year, marking another first for the Federation on the international volleyball platform.

Also, St Kitts and Nevis is the only English-speaking Caribbean nation who has been qualified for Volleyball. They will compete against several other countries including USA, Cuba, Costa Rica, Canada, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and El Salvador.
