St Kitts and Nevis to celebrate exciting week of activities for World Food Day 2024
This year, the authorities are celebrating Food Day under the theme “Right to foods for a better life and a better future.”

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources of St Kitts and Nevis is all set to celebrate a week filled with several exciting activities with a vision to commemorate World Food Day 2024.
This exciting celebration will take place from 12th October and will continue till 18th October 2024 with a vision to focus on critical issues related to food distribution, sustainable agriculture in order to ensure food security for everyone across the nation.
This year, the authorities are celebrating Food Day under the theme “Right to foods for a better life and a better future.”
This theme aims to bring attention to global hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity, in order to provide every person, the right to enjoy nutritious and healthy food so that they can grow and live an active life.
While extending invitation to all the citizens, the Ministry asserted “Join the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources for a week-long celebration in recognition of World Food Day, highlighting the importance of agriculture and fisheries in our food system and communities.”
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources will hold several events with the primary motive of educating the citizens about global food challenges, food insecurity, and sustainable agriculture practices.
The Ministry mentioned that the issue of hunger is rising to an extreme level, which ultimately leads to abnormal growth in children, malnutrition and death. Therefore, he shed light on the need to make the best utilization of such celebrations in order to promote healthy diet and tackle all the challenges being faced by world against hunger and malnutrition.
Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources of St Kitts and Nevis has extended invitation to all the citizens to unite together and work towards eradicating hunger, particularly in a world where millions still suffer from a lack of access to nutritious food.
