St Kitts and Nevis marks final day of Independence Amusement Park
St Kitts and Nevis’ Independence Amusement Park was one of the activities of the 41st anniversary of the Independence celebration.

St Kitts and Nevis celebrated the final night of the Independence Amusement Park on Sunday 6th October, 2024. This event which was started on 13th September, featured several thrilling rides, games, leisure activities, offering a new venue for the entertainment purpose for all family members, friends and relatives.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, also attended the final night of the Independence Amusement Park and enjoyed several rides with his friends and son.
While sharing the glimpses, PM Drew extended gratitude to all the organizers and everyone who contributed to making the event successful over the last three weeks. He also expressed his delight to see everyone enjoying with their families and themselves on the concluding night of the Independence Amusement Park 2024.
The Prime Minister not only attended but also enjoyed several rides clicked pictures with the netizens and tasted local food sold by the vendors.
“Last evening, I attended the final night of the Independence Amusement Park and was happy to see everyone, especially the families, enjoying themselves. I also joined in on the fun and tried some of the rides,” noted PM Terrance Drew.
Notably, St Kitts and Nevis’ Independence Amusement Park was one of the activities of the 41st anniversary of the Independence celebration, held at Royal Basseterre Valley National Park. This park also included the arrival of Coney Island’s equipment at the Deep-Water Port in St. Kitts, offering a plethora of experiences to all the attendees.
This idea of hosting Amusement park not only welcomed large number of citizens but also provided vendors with an opportunity to sell their items and generate large amount of revenues. This amusement park opened doors for drink vendors, food vendors, snack vendors, local artisans, and kids’ zone entertainment vendors to fix their spot, addressing gap of unemployment.
Moreover, this idea of staging amusement park was lauded by several citizens of St Kitts and Nevis as it brought together people of all ages together, and offered them with a variety of attractions such as rides and game in coincides with celebrating 41st anniversary of Independence.
The idea of staging amusement park truly aligns with the theme of the 41st anniversary of Independence, “Together, a People, Proud and Strong: Independence 41.” As, this event played a huge role in uniting people together to celebrate Independence and the achievements of St Kitts and Nevis.
