St Kitts and Nevis honours 25 Most Remarkable Teens for significant contributions at National Assembly

The Members of the Federal Parliament and the Department of Youth Empowerment of St Kitts and Nevis acknowledged 25 young individuals from various fields who are making significant contributions to the development of the nation. These awardees were recognized during the annual 25 Most Remarkable Teen Awards Ceremony which took place on Wednesday, 6th November, 2024.

As per the details, this ceremony was conducted during a Special Sitting of the National Assembly. It is also a part of one of the exciting activities of the celebration of Youth Month 2024 in St Kitts and Nevis.

All the 25 recipients of the 13th cohort were acknowledged for their achievements and exceptional work in a range of traditional and non-traditional areas. All these young girls were recognized in several sectors including, academics, sports, entrepreneurship, leadership, volunteerism and youth activism, spiritual commitment and many more.

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew shared the glimpses of all those recipients on his official Facebook account. He congratulated all these girls who were honour for their accomplishments in various areas.

“Congratulations to the 25 Most Remarkable Teens (2024 Cohort), who were honored last night during a Special Sitting of the National Assembly,” noted PM Terrance Drew.

PM Drew stated that all these outstanding young ladies have filled with great hope as they embody the bright future of their Federation. He added that all these teens serve as a role model to all the other young girls who aspire to make efforts for the development of their nation.

Moreover, the President of the St Kitts National Youth Parliament Association (SKNYPA), Dame Marcella Liburd described the 2024 class as an incredible group of young individuals. She called these teens, the tomorrow of the nation who are making every possible effort in order to contribute for the betterment of the society and create a better future of St Kitts and Nevis.

The Minister of State responsible for Youth, Isalean Phillip appreciated the 13th Cohort of 25 remarkable teens for showcasing their talent, leadership and determination. She added that this ceremony reminds them of the potential that these 25 young people hold in leading their nation towards growth and development.

The Minister of Agriculture, Sports, Samal Duggins also shed light on the event held to honour 24 teens. He called it a proud moment and sent them best wishes to continue to work for greatness and leave a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.
