St Kitts and Nevis: The government of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis has announced that Former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs – Dr Denzil L Douglas, will be attending the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
As per the Royal Family and government of the United Kingdom, the funeral has scheduled to happen on September 19, 2022 (Monday), at Westminster Abbey, London.
Foreign Minister Douglas took social media and expressed honour to be able to represent the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis at the Queen’s funeral service. “The Rt Hon Dr Denzil L Douglas said it was indeed an honour to represent the Federation at Her Majesty’s State Funeral Service. RIP Queen Elizabeth II,” the post by the minister read.
The funeral of the Queen will be attended by many of international leaders. The invitation has been sent to various notable politicians and dignitaries across the globe. The Royal Family has anticipated that around 500 heads of state and foreign dignitaries are expected to attend the funeral.
The Royal authorities have informed the leaders to come on the commercial flights and total; they would be bussed en masse from the site in west London. The Queen funeral will be one of the most massive royal gatherings in the United Kingdom, including members of Royal family and Politicians from all over the world.
The Queen will be buried with Prince Philip (her late husband), as per the announcement by Buckingham Palace on Thursday, September 15. The funeral will begin at 11 am local time on Monday, and it will be concluded with two-minute silence across the nation. Along with all this, the conclusion will also witness the order of the service set to reflect the Queen’s personal touches.
