St Kitts and Nevis came out as helping hand to Caribbean regions facing threat of Hurricane Beryl
Dr. Terrance Drew, the Prime Ministerof St Kitts and Nevis extended support to several Caribbean regions that are under the threat of Hurricane Beryl.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Dr. Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister extended support to several Caribbean regions that are under the threat of Hurricane Beryl. He has also asked all the citizens of his country to pray for the Caribbean region who are going through these difficult times.
While extending his support, PM Terrance Drew took to his official social media account and noted that St Kitts and Nevis fully stand with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Barbados, and Saint Lucia as these nations brace for the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
Notably, PM Drew has just left White Sands prematurely to communicate with the leaders of the respective nations, Ralph Gonsalves of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dickon Mitchell of Grenada, Mia Amor Mottley of Barbados and Philip Pierre of Saint Lucia.
The leaders are expected to discuss several methods and the precautionary measures that can be undertaken in order to safeguard the citizens of these island nations. Moreover, the leaders of these respective nations have urged their countrymen to remain vigilant and listen to local government and emergency management officials for any preparedness or evacuation orders.
Moreover, PM Drew also shared that they are continuing to see the effects of the climate crisis. He noted that Hurricane Beryl has formed which is making it a rare early storm and the first hurricane for the 2024 season.
“Let us keep our sister islands Barbados, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia and others in Beryl’s path in our prayers,” noted Dr. Terrance Drew.
PM Drew also asserted that hurricane season 2024 is anticipated to be active and has the ability to set records. Therefore, he has asked every Caribbean citizen to be cautious and follow all the precautionary methods, prioritizing their safety and security.
As per the National Hurricane Centre, Beryl is anticipated to cause a life-threatening storm surge and damaging waves in the portions of the Windward Islands with the highest risk of core in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada. Also, several flights have been cancelled due to Hurricane Beryl’s threat.
Therefore, Prime Minister Terrance Drew has promised to provide all the possible help to these nations in their hard times.
