Silver Airways announces extra flights due to Tropical Storm Ernesto

Silver Airways has announced the addition of extra flights over the next two days to various Caribbean destinations following the cancellation of flight services due to Tropical Storm Ernesto.
While unveiling the updated schedule, the authorities extended gratitude to all the travellers for their understanding and cooperation during this challenging times. And, they promised to continue to make efforts to ensure the travel plans of all their passengers remain smooth and timely.
“To accommodate your travel needs, we are adding extra flights over the next two days to various destinations,” noted Silver Airways.
As per the updated schedule, three flights will operate its services on Thursday, 15th August in order to accommodate its passengers. The first flight 3M6001 will serve the route between San Juan (SJU) and Tortola (EIS) as the aircraft will depart from SJU at 7:45 am for EIS.
On the other hand, the return flight from San Juan to Tortola will be provided by Flight 3M6101 with a departure time of 9:05 am. The third flight 3M6113 for the day will take off from Dominica at 5:30pm for San Juan. Meanwhile, the return flight 3M6104 from Dominica for San Juan will depart at 6:00 am of Friday, 16th August.
The authorities stated prioritized the safety and comfort of all their passengers and urged all the customers to exercise caution when travelling to the airport during this time. They also added that they are hoping that all their customers must be safe and well through the recent weather due to Hurricane Ernesto.
Notably, the Silver Airways had to cancel their flight operations from Monday to Wednesday for the destinations like Dominica, San Juan, St. Croix, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Tortola because of the watch in effect of the Tropical Storm Ernesto. As per the recent reports, Tropical Storm Ernesto strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane, after unleashing torrential rain and cutting power to hundreds of thousands of residents in Puerto Rico.
The National Hurricane Centre has forecasted a significant strengthening of Tropical Storm Ernesto as it heads toward Bermuda. On the current schedule, the country will likely feel the impacts of Hurricane Ernesto late Friday and Saturday.
The modern computer forecast models which has designed to predict a storm indicates that Ernesto will turn into a large, powerful hurricane over the next couple of days. According to the current forecast calls, the storm is likely to touch peak at Category 3 intensity, which means a Category 4 is also possible.
