Saint Lucia: PM Philip J Pierre meets family of victims from homicide attack

Castries, Saint Lucia: Philip J Pierre, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, has recently paid a visit to the families who lost their loved ones and family members during a homicide attack. He also expressed condolence and grief and assured the individuals that justice would be served.

PM Pierre also praised the citizens and residents of the Vieux Fort and stated that the people living there are sensible and responsible towards their societal duties. He added that the community has been working to build a safe and secure environment for their children.

PM Philip J Pierre shared his concerns while sharing a glimpse of the visit and informed the general public of Saint Lucia, “The residents of Bruceville in Vieux Fort, like every other community in Saint Lucia made up of men and women who want the best for their children.”

According to the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, it is a community with young people who have aspirations to live happy and fulfilled lives.

He further claimed that the nation stands with the families who have been going through such a difficult phase. Prime Minister Pierre also appealed to the citizens to stand together and cooperate with the police and defence forces of the Caribbean island country.

“As we mourn and seek justice for the families who have lost loved ones to this senseless gang violence, let us also resolve to be a more compassionate society,” he stated.

PM Philip Pierre further encouraged the Saint Lucian population and asserted that Saint Lucia would be crime free. “We can, and we must do better; Saint Lucia is our home,” he outlined.

PM Pierre also extended grief and sadness earlier while extending Easter Day wishes towards the general public. Back then as well he assured that the government of Saint Lucia would work well to serve justice and people should cooperate with the police.
