Saint Lucia Marine Unit to showcase maritime techniques on Feb 19

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Police Marine Unit of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is all set to showcase a wide range of maritime techniques. It is to be noted that the event will be celebrated as a part of the 45th anniversary of Independence. 

Notably, the techniques will be displayed at the Castries Waterfront on Monday, 19th February 2024 and the Marine Unit of the Saint Lucia Police Force has expressed delight at the event.

Moreover, the administration has announced the temporary closure from the intersection of John Crompton Highway and Desir Avenue to the John Crompton Highway and Jn Baptiste Street. 

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has extended gratitude to the citizens of the nation for their support and cooperation. They also apologized to them for any inconvenience or problem, residents may face due to the temporary closure. 

The Government of Saint Lucia will commemorate its 45th anniversary of Independence on Thursday, 22nd February, 2024. This year’s Independence will be celebrated under the theme “Douvan Ansanm: Building a Nation through Unity, Resilience, and Creativity.”

The nation will also celebrate National Colours Day on Monday and the administration has made an appeal to the citizens to showcase their National Pride by wearing the colors of the national flag. 

The 45th anniversary of the Independence of the island nation promises a celebration of the vibrant culture and traditions of the country filled with lots of fun activities, dance, music, food and many more. 

The residents of the community also took to their social media accounts and expressed their excitement about the event. 

One person with a Facebook account Miguel Janvier commented “We can have some real water sports and activities right there on Sundays.”

Another person wrote, “Very excited for this and to celebrate 45th anniversary of Independence.”
