Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire invites to participate in Castries South Constituency Spelling Bee Competition
Ernest Hilaire, Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, welcomed the young population of the nation to participate in the Spelling Bee Competition.

Castries, Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire, Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, welcomed the young population of the nation to participate in the Spelling Bee Competition. The competition will be organised by the SLP Castries South Youth Group as a celebration of Reading Month.
As per the update shared by the Deputy Prime Minister, who also serves as the Parliamentary Representative of the Castries South Constituency, the competition will be held under the title ‘2nd annual Castries South Constituency Spelling Bee Competition’.
He further informed that the Spelling Bee Competition would be held on June 04, 2023 (Sunday). The announced venue for the competition is Ciceron Secondary School, Ciceron, Castries, in Saint Lucia.
The Parliamentary Representative of Castries South, Hilaire, took the social media to express his gratitude. He also welcomed interested individuals to participate in the competition, making it interesting for the audience.
He mentioned, “As part of celebrations for Reading Month (May) in Saint Lucia, the SLP Castries South Youth Group has planned the 2nd annual Castries South Constituency Spelling Bee Competition.”
According to the report, registration for the Spelling Bee Competition has commenced and also asserted that an individual can also contact officials associated with the organising of the event.
The social media post by the minister informed, “To register participants, you can call the Castries South Constituency Office at 459-0063 and provide the student’s name, school, place of residence and contact number for the parent/guardian.”
Furthermore, Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire also shared the eligibility criteria and outlined that the registration for the competition will be concluded by the second week of May month. As per the official update, all eligible participants must:
• Be a resident of Castries South
• Be students in Grade Five (5) and Six (6), respectively.
It further outlined that the ‘registration deadline is May 10, 2023.’
This news regarding the competition gathered the attention of all, and many Saint Lucians took the comment section to praise the government of the constituency. While expressing joy and pleasure, one of the Saint Lucians commented, “Let’s continue the engagement with the children to guide them and elevate them always. Congrats!”
