Rising Stars Men’s U17 Tournament to initiate in Trinidad

Preparations are ongoing as the Rising Stars Men’s U17 Tournament is scheduled for Trinidad from 14th August to 2nd September 2024. The cricket tournament will feature six outstanding teams of the Caribbean region, performing in both 2-day and 50-over cricketing formats.

This tournament is foreseen to be of great benefit to the nations as well as the West Indies Cricket body, as it is hoped to parade some of the future talents in field for the West Indies’ cricket.

The U17 tournament will be held in Trinidad, a country well known for its love and passion for the game. It will be held on several splendid grounds, including Gilbert Park, Inshan Ali Park, and the National Cricket Centre (Couva).

The Rising Stars U17 Tournament is considered as one of the important tournaments in cricketing events of the region as it upholds young talents with a platform to show what their capabilities and acquire the necessary field experience.

The format of the tournament has also been chosen in such a way that the players are able to display their diverse capabilities. The two-day encounters will take longer, similar to test format, where teams would be playing for more time and in accordance with the conditions, back in the pitch.
