Pumping station to remain offline at Golden Ridge, St George

Bridgetown: The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) informed the consumers of Golden Ridge in St George regarding the urgent electrical upgrades at its facility on Thursday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Due to such conditions, the pumping station will remain offline.
Such conditions resulted in the low pressure or a complete water supply outage. Noting this, the regions which are supposed to experience the flaws in the water supply services, while the repairs are underway are as follows,
- Suriname
- Tourville
- Vaughn’s Road
- Horse Hill
- Blackmans
BWA stated that these repairs are important to improve the quality of the water supply. The officials expected the patience and co-operation from the resident of St George.
The Authority further expressed their commitment to resolve the issue as soon as possible and they will make every possible effort to conclude the reparations work in short sphere of time. BWA would like to remember the general public to make use of water tankers as a temporary measure.
Notably, the BWA asked the people to contact them through their helpline numbers in case of any queries or issues. The authorities assured the residents of the concerned region to fix the problem and they will also assign a team, who will address the challenges during the ongoing repairs.
The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) extended their apology for the inconvenience caused to the consumers due to these reformation works.
Additionally, the residents of St Philip and St Joseph are supposed to experience water outage in their areas to facilitate the necessary reparations of a burst main in Vineyard.
The officials from the water authority also stated that a pumping station will remain offline during the time period of the repairs. The areas which are under the effect of water outrage included, Horse Hill, Bowling Alley, Easy Hall, Blackmans and Braggs Hill.
