'PNM is most anti-worker' says MP Indarsingh

Trinidad and Tobago: According to MP Rudranath Indarsingh, The People’s National Movement’s government is the most anti-worker and anti-trade since Trinidad and Tobago’s independence.

MP Rudranath Indarsingh claimed this statement at a press conference at the Office of the Opposition Leader in Port-of-Spain on Sunday.

He stated, “The labor relations and the industrial relations environment has sunk to an all-time low; it is unparalleled, it is unprecedented with job failures over 100,000 plus persons, and it has been one of union busting.”

MP Rudranath Indarsingh also stated that the Conciliation Division at the Ministry of Labour seems to be in a state of destruction with the industrial court’s judgments not being honored.

Statements on Stuart Young

And Bartaria/San Juan MP Saddam Hosein called for National Security Minister Stuart Young to resign as a no-confidence motion in him was debated in the Lower House.

He announced, “The motion relates to the authoritarian, cruel, inhumane, discriminatory and undemocratic exercise of his power as the minister.

“Minister Young is unlikely to be the minister of national security. He has bolted down the airports, but all borders continue to open to illegal immigrants.”

Additionally, he said, “Young has not told the population what law he was practicing to keep citizens out. He added, “He should save himself the embarrassment and clear his desk before the debate because the leader of the opposition will wipe the parliamentary floor with Minster Young.
