Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew joined the panel at the high-level Climate Action Summit session with Vice President Kamala Harris and other esteemed world leaders at COP28, Dubai.

PM Drew stated that he will always be proud of multilateralism as it licenses somebody like him who comes from a smaller country in the Western hemisphere to dignify the stage.

Notably, it provides an opportunity to offer their own approach and solution to what is happening around them in terms of climate change.

“I am always proud of multilateralism because it allows someone like me from a smaller country in the western hemisphere to grace the stage and offer our own approach and solution to what is happening in regards to climate change”, the prime minister stated.

It is to be noted that St Kitts and Nevis are on the vanguard of climate change, and it is to be believed that they are not problem makers, but they are still going through major trouble.

However, the Prime Minister did not claim victimhood for himself or his country; rather, they are looking to be a part of the solution.

The leader of St Kitts and Nevis stated that they are determined and devoted to making a contribution towards climate action.

It is to be added in PM Drew’s remarks that his country, as the smallest independent country in the Western hemisphere, just signed an agreement recently to have the largest solar energy battery developed in the entire Caribbean.

The size of the St Kitts and Nevis would not limit their dedication as this is only one of their many initiatives.

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis also shared glimpses of the event through his official Facebook handle.

Additionally, Cop28 in Dubai brings the world together at a critical moment for global transformative climate action. This summit holds enormous significance as leaders gather to discuss strategies to prepare and limit the approaching challenges of climate change.
