PM Drew meets Chairman of K&K Group, partners for Government’s Geothermal Project
Dr. Terrance Drew – Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis had a meeting with the officials from the K&K Group, led by Chairman Dr. Tajeddine Seif. The meeting of the PM of St. Kitts and Nevis with them signals of the efforts being put in by the Government towards fulfilling the sustainable agenda.

St. Kitts and Nevis: Dr. Terrance Drew – Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis had a meeting with the officials from the K&K Group, led by Chairman Dr. Tajeddine Seif. The meeting held, had an objective revolving for the support and partnership on the Government’s Geothermal Project.
K&K Group is a UAE-based Investment Firm that works with a vision of leading the future with strategic investments and innovation for a Sustainable World. The meeting of the PM of St. Kitts and Nevis with them signals regarding the efforts being put in by the Government towards fulfilling the sustainable agenda.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the federation seeks to build strategic partnerships in the realization of the goal of renewable energy transition. The insights into this through an interaction with the officials of a UAE-based Investment Firm is of great importance.
Such a partnership marks a great step towards CARICOM’s commitment to the security of renewable energy, leading towards the fulfillment of promises made for the sustainable Island State.
The Geothermal Energy Project aims to generate renewable power in the country, which not only will offer better amenities to the people living in the country but will also present an idea of economic development in the coming times. Such a project as well would lead towards the reduction of the dependence on fossil fuels, and would diversify energy sources.
Further, the Prime Minister outlined that the Geothermal Energy Project is one of the most important projects in a long time. This project would help in preserving the natural resources, will contribute towards mitigating climatic conditions that would foster a clean environment to offer to the coming generations.
Emphasizing on the positive aspects of the Geothermal project, new employment opportunities will be offered in the country that would boost economic growth in St. Kitts and Nevis. Not only this but also the education and training opportunities in sustainable energy technologies. This gives an idea of empowering residents that will contribute to the nation’s development.
Considerably, the Chairman, Tajeddine Seif added that by taking geothermal energy into the part, the country can succeed on the path of improving stability. Also, interconnections can benefit neighboring islands. He also mentioned that the firm’s partner, Siemens Energy, will also lead toward the development, installation, and management of the renewable energy infrastructure.
