New Jamaican strategy to ensure equal land rights: PM Holness

Jamaica: Shelter is the most significant necessity people need. Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness declares a new strategy that ensures equal land rights to Jamaica’s people.

In the Ministry of Housing, Environment, Urban Renewal, and Climate Change, Certificate of Title Handing-Over Ceremony, PM Holness, and several ministers stated this new strategy. According to PM Holness, This Housing strategy works on the earlier plan of action, which is now operating in Jamaica. It is called ‘sites and service programs.’ It is incremental development.

PM Holness announces, “the people who run government only they can understand social injustice in the aspect of the land, The aim is to giving people to land access, giving people to equal land, every single Jamaican can have access to land.”

It will allow every Jamaican to have equal opportunity. The government will lay the foundation of land and have operation drive houses created so that everybody can afford it at a similar price.

PM Holness illustrates the importance of Shelter that it takes a generation to build a house and provide a shelter that can shield people’s dreams. The government will accelerate the pace of housing markets, available to buy a home in the properly structured community with all the facilities like internet, water, food, electricity, and others.

Inspiring statement from Jamaican PM

PM Holness stated that “we people of Jamaica have been progressed here for 350 years. We have here our forefathers’ and several generations, yet we didn’t have a formal document that allowed us to transcend the land we can claim legally.

Another Facebook user commented, “Don’t wait until 100 come on land or roadside and then try to move them. Move when you see one or two. This is a matter for years with no change in place.”
