Merchant Taylors’ School from England embarks on cricket adventure in Antigua and Barbados
High Commissioner Karen-Mae Hill invited Merchant Taylors’ School is heading to Antigua and Barbados for cricket.

St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda: Antigua and Barbuda High Commission in United Kingdom has shared an ‘exciting news’ with the general public and stated that at the invitation of High Commissioner Karen-Mae Hill, Merchant Taylors’ School is heading to Antigua and Barbados for cricket.
The High Commission took to the official social media and outlined that it is excited to come to know about such an active participation of the Caribbean islands in sports.
As per the update, Merchant Taylors’ School, Northwood, England, has taken senior cricketers to Antigua and Barbados this July. These talented boys love cricket and compete on a highly competitive circuit.
Further, it shared the schedule of the School and mentioned that they arrived in Antigua on July 6, 2023 and will be playing against local schools and will be playing on fantastic grounds like Coolidge, Pigotts, and the Police cricket ground.
In addition to this, it expressed gratitude that this visit to the Caribbean region will also open an opportunity to explore the beauty and gems of the countries. It highlighted that this visit will not be just about cricket it will be also about exploring Antigua and Barbados.
“But it’s not just cricket! They are also looking forward to exploring Antigua. Thanks to High Commissioner Karen-Mae Hill, they’ll visit Stingray City, enjoy an Island Safari, and a catamaran cruise,” Antigua and Barbuda High Commission in London highlighted through social media.
Moreover it stated that they will even have a surprise Q&A with West Indies cricket legends. Additionally, they will be donating laptops, projectors, and sports equipment to the Halo Foundation.
After Antigua, they will fly to Bridgetown for more matches against Franklyn Stevenson, St Michael’s, Lester Vaughn, and the Wanderer’s Cricket Club, according to the update.
“We’re excited for them to have this cricket adventure in Antigua and Barbados! Special thanks to Ridley Jacobs, Head of schools cricket and Karen Joseph, Sports tourism, for excellent logistical support,” it stated while concluding.
