Roseau, Dominica: Melissa Poponne Skerrit, Minister of Housing, Land & Urban Development of Dominica, has announced a Mother’s Day Sunset BBQ and Bingo to celebrate the mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The mothers are invited to enjoy and celebrate their existence on 11th May, 2024, Saturday at City Breeze Apartments.
Sharing the invite for the mothers of Roseau Central on her social media handles, Melissa Skerrit graciously described mothers as irreplaceable. She shared that “It is always an honour and a pleasure to celebrate them.”
She even defined the love of the mother as “No love like a mother’s love.”
Minister Melissa Skerrit titled the “Mother’s Day Sunset BBQ and Bingo” as an evening to celebrate the mothers. The event will also provide a Sunset BBQ to enjoy varied variety of Barbequed delicacies, along with music and ample of playful activities like Bingo.
The mothers will be given a chance to win exciting prizes by participating in entertaining and brain-tricking activities, which would provide the mothers with a memorable experience.
Also, the mothers will groove on the melodious beats of DJ Shil, who is known to take the party to another level and let the ladies dance and have fun.
Melissa Skerrit is known for celebrating and empowering women. Recently, she hosted Women’s Symposium Vol 3 with a motive to promote women in business and also help them find their purpose in life. She has been motivating and supporting women throughout Dominica with her actions, which are always commended by the residents.
Similarly, to host a Mother’s Day Celebration, the minister has the vision to pay heartfelt gratitude to all that the mothers do without even expecting anything in return. Also, it will provide the women with the platform to share their journeys, the hardships they faced and how they overcame the unshared battles they have been fighting alone.
