Guyana: 24-year-old man stabbed by 2, hospitalized in serious condition
A 24-year-old man of Guyana was brutally stabbed by two men at Turkeyen on Tuesday. The victim is undergoing serious medical procedures and the suspect is still on the run.

Georgetown, Guyana: A 24-year-old man was brutally stabbed by two men at Turkeyen on Tuesday. The victim is undergoing serious medical procedures and the suspect is still on the run.
The victim has been identified as Shaquille Leacock, a resident of ‘C’ Field Sophia was sitting on a culvert lining when two men approached him. Notably, a 20-year-old woman witnessed the scene and told investigators that she saw the victim being chased by two suspects.
As per the details shared by a woman to authorities, one of the suspects was armed with a knife and stabbed one to his abdomen and the other to his left thigh. The victim tried to save himself from the clutches of those suspects and ran out of the yard in order to protect himself.
However, he collapsed midway, and the suspects made their escape seeing that. Following the act of crime, the authorities were informed about the incident and they immediately responded to the matter by visiting the crime spot.
As soon as they reached there, the officers found the victim was lying in a semi-unconscious state, dressed in a white vest with dark colour short pants. Therefore, they made a call to the ambulance and transported Leacock to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
The doctors on duty examined Leacock thoroughly, and he is receiving the best medical treatment. The victim is currently in serious condition, but the doctors have promised to provide the victim with the best medical amenities, ensuring his healthy well-being.
The authorities have also promised to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter in order to get the culprits punished for the offense they committed.
Also, several residents of Guyana raised their concerns about increasing crime activity occurring in the nation. They took to their social media accounts and expressed their concern over the incident.
One person with a Facebook handle Chris Brotherson commented “Guyana is getting worse every day; the GPF needs to get rid of this menace of society,”
Another person wrote, “I pray for his complete recovery and healing. This world is not my home.”
The citizens have asked the administration to take serious note on the crime rates being increased in the nation. They have requested them to enhance the security and safety of all citizens of the country.
