Melissa Skerrit announces ‘SHE-PRENEUR’ bus tour to support women
Melissa Skerrit, the minister of housing, land and urban development raised the voice for the female entrepreneurs by mentioning “Come out to support our female entrepreneurs.” Such a call is done for the event ‘SHE-PRENEUR’ bus tour.

Roseau, Dominica: Melissa Skerrit, the Minister of Housing, Land and Urban Development raised the voice for the female entrepreneurs by stating “Come out to support our female entrepreneurs.” Such a call was made for the event ‘SHE-PRENEUR’ bus tour event.
The tour will be held on March 7, 8, 9 and 11. Its objective is to promote women’s entrepreneurial activities that would enhance the connectivity between shoppers and markets who come under the umbrella of sustainable cities.
The housing minister shared a post on her social media handle and informed the public about the features of the upcoming Bus tour.
The “SHE-PRENEUR” stop & shop “HOP ON, HOP OFF” Bus tour will showcase the culture, cuisine, arts and crafts and agro products. The featured items will provide aid in supporting local women entrepreneurs in Dominica. The bookings of the tour includes no cost which means it is completely free of the cost.
The Urban Development Minister, Melissa Skerrit is actively encouraging women in her country. Recently, the Melissa Skerrit Foundation came up with the idea of a Women’s Symposium to find peace and purpose. This is going to be held on March 9, 2024 at Fort Young Hotel from 3 pm.
And, the registration is closed for the same. The Minister as well featured the speaker, Dr Thecla Fitz-Lewis who is the CEO and Principal Consultant for Lewis Management and Consultancy Services (LMCS).
She has the experience of over thirty-five years in both the sectors that are public and private with the leading executive roles in male dominated careers. She is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background.
Featuring such a prominent personality provides a benefit that her experiences and expertise in various fields would surely be helpful and also contribute towards empowering women. As, there will be the seminars, workshops, symposiums, conferences, workshops by her would foster encouragement in women.
