Manchester City signed Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw for three years

Manchester City said Shaw would move to the Academy Stadium on a three-year deal from the start of July under the conclusion of her present contract with Bordeaux. She finished the season being the league’s top goal-scorer, along with winning the Golden Boot.
Shaw said in an official statement on the Manchester City website. That it felt amazing to be a Manchester City player, she had chosen this Club because she wants to be a part of the environment, the culture and to play for this fantastic team.
Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw stated that she had always watched the English game, and that has been something that she had always wanted to be a part of the Barclays FA WSL has been growing and developing tremendously, and she feels as though that has been the perfect move for her.
Shaw said that she wanted to be tested, and there has been so much experience in the team here, so she knows she would learn a lot from everybody around her. She grew up as a City fan, and she even has some family members who have been living in Manchester.
Reflecting on the new signing, Head Coach Gareth Taylor said that they had been delighted to welcome Khadija to Manchester City. As she had been a very talented young player and they had pleased that they had been able to add her to their already productive forward line.
She had enjoyed a successful couple of years in France with Bordeaux, and the fact that she finished as the league’s top scorer that past campaign speaks volumes about the calibre of player. Her form on the international stage is incredibly important too, and they had very much looked forward to working along with her in the coming seasons.
