The KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is all set to offer non-stop services between Georgetown and Amsterdam, effective from 4th June, 2025. These services are expected to play a huge role in enhancing connectivity between Europe and Guyana, offering travellers an access to travel between these destinations.
As per the details, KLM Royal Dutch will operate two weekly flights on the route between Georgetown and Amsterdam. The days on which the services will be provided includes Wednesdays and Saturdays, using the Airbus 330-200 aircraft.
This aircraft has the facility to accommodate 18 seats in World Business Class and 214 seats in Economy Class both in a 2-4-2 seating configuration. The Airbus 330-200 aircraft offers diverse facilities to all its passengers, catering to both business and leisure travellers.
As per the schedule unveiled by KLM Royal Dutch Airline, the flight KL 789 will depart Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport at 10:00 a.m., arrive in Sint Maarten at 1:00 p.m. The route will then continue on to Guyana, landing at Cheddi Jagan International Airport at 4:35 p.m.
The return flight will depart from Georgetown at 5:55 p.m., arriving back in Amsterdam at 9:15 a.m., the following day.
The Regional Manager for Air France KLM the Dutch Caribbean, Guyana and Suriname, Drik Buitelaar stated that his team and him are extremely delighted to welcome Georgetown, Guyana into their network. He expressed his confidence and said that they are expecting Guyana to become key destination with their network.
“We look forward to playing our part in the continuing growth of Guyana,” stated Drik Buitelaar.
The Country Sales Manager Air France KLM for Guyana and Suriname, Sandhiya Kanhai also said that they are looking forward to working closely with all their stakeholders in Guyana to make this route a success. “To all of our future customers, we very much look forward to welcoming you onboard of our flights.”

The flight services offered by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines between Georgetown and Amsterdam would play a significant role in attracting large number of visitors and strengthening their relations.
