Jamaican footballer arrested for sexually assaulting a woman in US

Jahshaun Anglin, a 20-year-old Jamaican football player, on Tuesday was arrested by Miami-Dade police for sexually assaulting a woman in a classroom on the campus of Florida International University – (FIU) in the United States.

Jamaican: Jahshaun Anglin, a 20-year-old Jamaican football player, on Tuesday was arrested by Miami-Dade police for sexually assaulting a woman in a classroom on the campus of Florida International University – (FIU) in the United States.

The footballer has been charged with one charge of sexual battery and is currently being held on US$10,000 in police custody.

According to the arrest report, Anglin met a female near – 11000 block of Southwest 12th Street; then, two subsequently agreed to meet up at another location. After meeting at that unidentified location at FIU, the Jamaican reportedly asked the female for what is being described as “a sexual favour” inside a room.

However, the woman refused, after which Anglin assaulted the female complainant by placing his hands in her underwear, as per the police reports.

The lady even tried to escape, but the footballer prevented her from doing so, the report notes. While supposedly “performing a sexual act” on the lady, Anglin was caught by a witness who walked into the room. He then escaped from the place.

After which, being identified by the victim, the 20-year-old was arrested by the Police. The complaint has been filed in – NBC 6 South Florida.

Miami FC club also issued a statement which symbolised that they are aware of the situation one of their members has been involved in the case. The club cited that, “We are cooperating with the local enforcement officials on this matter, and we are not having a further comment on the development.”
