Jamaica: Missing land surveyor Collin Watts found dead

Manchester, Jamaica: The dead boy of 52-year-old Collin Watts, a land surveyor and a resident of Hanbury, near Ingleside, was found in bushes in the upscale Mandeville community on Wednesday, 31st January 2024. 

As per the information, Collin Watts was reported missing on Monday. The news was confirmed by his sister, Kay Watts. While sharing the information, the sister of the victim stated that she had been searching for her brother since Monday as he left his home to walk to exercise in the community.

“I don’t think there is any foul play or anything like that,” noted Collin Watts. While shedding light on this statement, she added that her brother was showing signs and symptoms of depression.

She stated that her brother had been under stress for a little time and this was the reason that he went to exercise on Monday morning to release some of the stress and do some mindfulness practices in order to improve his mental health.

While stating about her family’s condition, she said that everyone in her family is shocked at this point. She mentioned that her entire family has been looking for Collin Watts since Monday and as of now, they have come across the body off the road on Tangerine Drive in a little ravine, so the family is finding it hard to get over the pain.

Moreover, the police officials have sealed the Tangerine Drive area for further investigation of the ongoing case.

Various residents of the community also took to their social media accounts to express their views on the matter and extended condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. One person with a Facebook handle, Christine Reid, commented, “How does the sister know if there was foul play or not? My condolences to his family.”

“Sad. Many think if one has enough money, it makes them happy. Sometimes, living simply and comfortably is all you need. Condolences to his family,” wrote Elorita Mitchell. 

Another person with a Facebook account, Neisha Badwah, commented the following: “So sorry to hear. I remember him from my childhood days.”
